In order for us to understand pelvic health, we first need to talk about the pelvic floor! The pelvic floor is a hammock of muscles that fit inside your pelvis allowing for a variety of functions including peeing, support to everything above your pelvis, and sex. These muscles could be some of the most important muscles in our body's, but also, ones we don't really talk about.

When these muscles are not functioning or coordinating with the rest of our body properly, we can see AND feel the effects. Dysfunction looks different for everyone, but can include difficulty peeing, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, or pain with intercourse. Many people are told these things are normal, or "it's just something you learn to live with." But, that's not true!

Our pelvic floor experiences changes with pregnancy and from labor (yes, even cesarean birth!). Our new mama's are not always equipped with the knowledge, support, or guidance to heal their pelvic floor back to support their everyday life and habits. Our mama's deserve to feel strong and confident!
